Global Perspectives: A Framework for Global Education in Australian Schools offers teachers at all levels a concise, practical and philosophical guide to the aims and learning emphases of global education.
Access to an adequate food supply is a global issue. Students examine food production and distribution globally and how this is influenced by factors such as transport, infrastructure, political environment and geographic considerations. Students plan and prepare safe and nutritious foods appropriate to specific situations.
This unit of work on issues facing women and girls globally, but particularly in Asia and India. This unit could be easily adapted to suit different school situations and contexts, catering for the interests of your students. This unit of work is for the focus area Food equity only. Teachers need to consider the Core Topics that need to be integrated as per the school’s scope and sequence.
